Abstract— In this paper, a non-isolated interleaved inputparallel output series structure soft-switching bidirectional dc-dc converter with PWM plus phase shift (PPS) control is proposed. The proposed converter can achieve zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) of all switches in continuous current mode (CCM) under bidirectional power flow. Even though step-up/down ratio is about 3.5 times compared to the conventional half bridge converter, the voltage rating of components such as switches and passive devices is about one-fourth of high voltage side (HVS) voltage. Also, since power flow is controlled only by the phase shift angle, the peration of the forward and backward modes becomes symmetrical, thereby making power flow change seamless without any complex control. The duty cycle is used to equalize voltages of capacitors of high voltage side (HVS), thereby making the voltage ratings of components exactly same and ensuring soft-switching of switches under wide voltage and load range. A 2 kW prototype is implemented and tested to verify validity of the proposed converter.
